A friend took me to Cabinet Bar & Balcony last night and I absolutely loved it. Interestingly, if you don’t know it, you would probably never see it as the actual entrance is behind Swanston Street. But this hidden jewel offers great drinks and really good service — the staff have genuine smiles and are not just happy to help you choose from their list of drinks, but they can make you something that isn’t on the list either. I had one of the best Mojitos I’ve ever tasted!! I’m gonna go back on a Wednesday to try their Flatbreads! Definitely recommended!!

A late visit to this hidden bar proved a highlight, cosy, fresh air and views on balcony and inside seating was dark & mysterious. Got there late Friday after kitchen closed round 11.30

My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with a delightful fusion of affordability, delectable cocktails, and an unbeatable rooftop atmosphere. Not only were they expertly crafted, but the prices were refreshingly reasonable for a rooftop bar in the heart of the city. The diverse selection of martinis and jar cocktails showcased a commitment to offering something for every palate. Each sip was a journey of flavors, and the creativity behind the concoctions added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The culinary offerings were nothing to scoff at either. While the food was decent, it perfectly complemented the drink menu. A good selection of bar snacks ensured that our taste buds were continually engaged. What truly stood out, though, was the impeccable service. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also impressively prompt. Their attentiveness added a sense of warmth to the overall experience. Now, let's talk about the hidden gem—the balcony view. Honestly every time I go here it’s just the perfect place for a great drink and bite to eat. Cozy and cute on colder evenings, fun and busy in the summer. Tonight was no exception. Brilliant made drinks and great service as always from the guys. Love it.

Loved my experience at Cabinet Bar. Came with a group of friends for pre-comedy drinks and food and appreciated the wonderful service and atmosphere. The staff were extremely accomodating. I had booked a table of 4, which was reserved for us inside. I asked if there was room for us on the balcony and as there was space we were immediately moved to a new table with a fantastic view. We ordered a couple of bottles of wine and a myriad of snacks including chips, flat bread pizzas and and cheeses. The food and drinks arrived quickly and extra glasses and water were accommodated swiftly also. The bill was generously able to be split between 4 people which took more time for the team and we were very appreciative! I would definitely recommend a drink and casual food here. Enjoy the balcony if you can. I hope to come back soon!

Great cosy little bar overlooking busy city below. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed a pre dinner drink and some snacks for an hour or so. Eggplant chips were delicious as was the pizza. It was happy hour too which was a nice added bonus. Place was full by the time we left around 6pm but always people coming and going it seemed.

What a great little wine bar this is. Great service from the moment you walk in to when you leave. With 1 tap beer only, the rest is bottled, but if that isn't your goto, there is plenty of wine and cocktails to choose from. We have also shared the mushroom, blue cheese, and spinach flatbread twice here. It was so good we got it the 2nd time we visited. Entry is down a little alley way, but once you know where it is, you'll keep coming back.

We held an intimate 21st at the Cabinet Bar on Sat night and I cannot rate this bar highly enough. Not only was it the perfect venue for the young, and not so young, but the food and cocktails were five star. The staff were some of the nicest people I have met in Melbourne with a special shout out to 'Al' bar manager who went over and above again and again to make our night special. I highly recommend this bar if only to be served by the best of the best. We will be back.

Had a very nice Cajun chicken flatbread, washed down with a couple of Hula Hooper Martinis on Saturday evening. It was very pleasant sitting on the balcony while listening to the saxophone of a busker below. Staff were friendly.
